Who found the light bulb?

With the discovery of electricity, the world has entered a new era. However, a bulb was invented to actively use electricity in homes and in many places. Who found this light bulb? Here, everyone is wondering the answer to this question. Because this invention is an important invention for human history.

WHICH FINDED A BULB?

Who invented the bulb? There are three people involved in the invention of the bulb. Hiram Maxim, Thomas Edison and Joseph Swan. I suppose there is no such inventive invention throughout history. The invention and commercial production of the electric bulb began on both sides of the Atlantic, within the same time frame, but in separate locations. Thomas Edison in Menlo Park, New Jersey, Hiram Maxim in New York and Joseph Swan from Newcastle, England started producing bulbs on the same days.

HIRAM MAXIM

Hiram Stevens made his first successful work on the invention of the Maxim bulb. In the late 1870 he even installed the first electric bulbs he invented in the Equitable Life Building in New York. However, he maintained long-standing patent disputes and lawsuits with Thomas Edison, claiming he was the first to invent the bulb. Maxim said that he first found the incandescent bulb, but because he knew Edison’s patent law, he got the first patent. Maxim explained that an employee accidentally filed a patent application on his behalf regarding the invention of the Bulb. He said that the discovery in Edison’s application for skates proved to be inaccurate and made the invention become public property. Edison, which made the bulb a public invention, started production without paying any rights to the real inventor of the bulb, Hiram Maxim.

THOMAS EDISON

Thomas Alva Edison began his experiments in September 1878. After just over 12 months, he achieved his first satisfactory result. The first Edison light bulb lit for a while, Model no. 9. This bulb contained carbonized cotton filament. On October 21, 1879, Edison wrote in his notebook: defter Number 9 burned from 1.30 in the day to 03.00 in the night. That’s 13 and a half hours. Then he whirled for about an hour. Finally the glass exploded and disintegrated. ”The bulb was patented on November 1, 1879. But it soon became clear that the carbonized sewing thread Edison used as a filament was not suitable for continuous combustion. In the early 1880s, Edison began using carbonized paper as a filament. When they got better results, they started mass production in October.

JOSEPH SWAN

Sir Joseph Swan made his electric light bulb for the first time on December 18, 1878 at the Tyne Society in Newcastle. The bulb that he showed to his audience during his speech was burned because of the excessive current given in the previous experiment in the laboratory, so his listeners could not see how the bulb shone. At his second conference in Sunderland on January 18, 1879, he showed the same bulb as he gave his audience light. Although this demonstration took place 10 months before Edison’s first successful laboratory trial, this trial could not be any more claiming than being one of the first stages of development with a marketable electric bulb. In the early 1880, however, Swan, like Edison, made a bulb using carbonized cotton filament.

However, his bulb was slightly longer than Edison’s. On November 27, 1880, he patented his invention and soon began the production of Swan bulbs. The first commercial light bulbs were produced on October 1, 1880 at the ison Edison Lamp Works tesis facility in Menlo Park. Each bulb underwent 200 separate processes during production. Production was entirely based on manual labor and for these reasons the retail price was also quite high. One of the bulbs was launched for $ 2.5. Over time, demand increased and prices fell.
